Program Notes

The San Francisco Symphony's Acting Principle Horn, Robert Ward, joins the resident quartet of both the Telluride and Rocky Ridge Chamber Music Festivals for a performance of Mozart's Horn Quintet in E-flat major, a Music at Kohl premiere. The ensemble that debuts this season as the Ives Quartet was formerly known as the Stanford Quartet, which appeared on Music at Kohl's inaugural season in 1984.

"Eloquent advocates . . . and deeply committed musicians whose sensitivity to the mood and grasp of underlying structure render the music they play immediately comprehensible." -- The Strad
