Led by multi-instrumentalist Hong Wang and yangquin (hammered dulcimer) master Yangqin Zhao, Melody of China has charmed audiences throughout the country with their wide-ranging repertoire of music from China. Under their skillful hands, families will witness stately thousand-year-old court music, dramatic contemporary compositions, earthy folk songs, and the thundering beats and choreographed movements of folk drumming. A lucky few will get a chance to join the ensemble on stage as part of the Chinese Percussion Band.
