With concertmaster Alexander Barantschik, violinist Amy Hiraga, principal violist Geraldine Walther, associate principal cellist Peter Wyrick, principal pianist Robin Sutherland.
The fortuitous collaboration of these noted musicians began three years ago at Kohl Mansion when Mr. Barantschik joined the S. F. Symphony. Playing together on our series has proved gratifying for the musicians as well as Music at Kohl patrons. This grouping is among our most popular concerts. Individually, members of this ensemble also demonstrate uncommon loyalty and enjoyment of our special atmosphere by returning year after year. Mr. Sutherland has played for us for 21 years since our concerts began, and Ms. Walther has performed here for 10 years. Program will include: Debussy’s String Quartet and César Franck’s Piano Quintet.
