Since its debut in 1977, this accomplished ensemble has been popular with discriminating audiences worldwide for its artistic perfection. They have been described as bold, thrilling, abandoned, sweet, delicate, fluent and flawless. Their cohesion and virtuosity speak as loudly as their interpretive range. They are equally at home with the classics as with new works for piano quartet, many of which they have commissioned from prominent contemporary composers such as Stephen Hartke and Gerard Schurmann. "Rarely has a performing ensemble given such compelling performances " Houston Post. Program: a piano quartet by Mozart; Mahlers Piano Quartet in A Minor/Schnittkes Piano Quartet after Mahler; and Faurés Piano Quartet in G Minor, Op. 45.
