Staples of our daytime children’s concerts, the Golden Gate Brass Quintet is a welcome addition to this year’s Family Series. This entertaining group combines exquisite technical command of their instruments with an engaging and lighthearted approach to music and showmanship. All members are local music professionals who perform with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and San Francisco Adventures in Music as well as with a variety of Bay Area performance and education presenters. This season, the Quintet presents Freelancers in Heaven, a look at the various professional opportunities of San Francisco musicians.
